Celebrate at Disney in a Garden Suite

We live in Florida, so we like to celebrate special occasions and holidays at fun places. Disney World is definitely a great place to celebrate. We usually have kids with us, but for this trip we decided to take a more romantic Disney getaway to celebrate several things (birthdays, anniversary and job success) at once with a Boardwalk garden suite.

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

The Epcot resort area at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida is by far my favorite location on Disney Property. My favorite resorts and theme parks are in the Epcot area. Disney’s Beach Club Resort is my favorite Disney hotel but for this romantic getaway we decided to stay at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn so that we could experience the deluxe Garden Suites. And I am so glad we did because I discovered my FAVORITE DISNEY WORLD ROOM!

The Boardwalk Inn is one of Disney’s deluxe hotels and is in a perfect location. You can easily walk or take a ferry to Epcot and Hollywood studios. There are tons of restaurants, nightly entertainment, and nice hotel amenities. This hotel makes for a great family vacation or a couples retreat. When we bring the kids to Disney we like to rent the surrey bikes from the Boardwalk and now I know that the Garden Suites sets the atmosphere for a nice romantic trip to Disney World.

The Garden Suite at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

When you walk up to the garden suites, you will smile because it is surrounded by a white fence and private walkway that leads to an arched doorway. When you walk in the first thing you will notice is that this suite is HUGE! It reminds me of a townhome. It is two stories of luxurious space. This room is great for a family staying at Disney for over a week or a romantic getaway like we were taking. The suites do have stairs, so keep that in mind. They are “hidden” away from the crowded areas of the resort but still not a far walk to the hotel lobby or boardwalk. It is a really nice, serene atmosphere surrounded by trees and walking paths. The quiet pool is also located in the garden suite wing of the hotel, adding to why it makes a good choice for a romantic getaway.

The entrance takes you into the living room, which is the downstairs space housing a pullout sofa, large flat screen tv, table, desk, mini refrigerator, and microwave. Plus a half bath. The bedroom is upstairs with a king size bed and another large flat screen tv. The bathroom has a double vanity, garden tub that looks into the bedroom, and a separate large walk in glass shower – heaven in a bathroom! There is a large walk out balcony attached to the bedroom that overlooks the quiet pool and garden. I did not want to leave this room!

Concierge Lounge at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

If you book one of the Garden Suites, you will have access to the concierge lounge. This is a great benefit that we like to take advantage of at just about any hotel when we can, especially when we are traveling with kids. The concierge lounge provides a variety of snacks and beverages throughout the day and there is always a friendly concierge ready to help answer any questions you may have and make magic happen.

We did have some magical experiences during our 4-day stay. One was that a celebration cake and balloons showed up unexpected (side note-Disney celebration cakes are yummy!).  Secondly, some amazing cookie style brownies were in the concierge lounge the first night but not the second night. I was slightly disappointed. The concierge must have overheard me because he got some special for me the next day….ah pixie dust!

Though Disney’s Beach Club is still my favorite, anytime I have the ability to really splurge on a Disney hotel room I will definitely choose these fantastic garden suite rooms at the Boardwalk Inn! Do you have a favorite Disney room?
