I was invited to dine at the new Metro Diner in Cape Coral, Fl this week. Though this is a diner chain, it is new to me and this area. This new local diner serves classic American breakfast & lunch with a unique flare in an inviting atmosphere. Interesting to know, this Jacksonville chain was made famous by Guy Fieri when showcased on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Where The Locals Eat
Metro Diner open on April 17, 2018 in Cape Coral and is already a popular spot. This place was packed for an early dinner. Luckily I had reservations, which I never would have thought about making for a diner. With the great prices, friendly staff, cozy environment and delicious large portions – I can understand why this diner chain was featured on the Food Network! Though given national recognition this is definitely a spot where locals will gather to eat regularly!
Fantastic Diner Food
The portions at Metro Diner are large, especially considering the very reasonable price tag. It specializes in classic comfort foods — chicken and waffles, meatloaf, biscuits and gravy, pasta and burgers — with most dishes priced less than $15. Check out the Metro Diner Menu. Everything on the menu sounds good, making it hard to decide what to order. All the food we tried was tasty, which included the loaded potato soup (amazingly good), mashed potato and gravy, the manager special of cajun shrimp pasta and the rancheros huevos.

We all know that service can dramatically impact a dining experience. The service at Metro Diner in Cape Coral Florida is extremely attentive and friendly. Our server was Lisa – she was wonderful and anticipated our needs before we needed it. I also had the opportunity to meet one of the Venture partners, Scott. Not only was he super nice but he was working hard throughout the entire restaurant from welcoming guests in to delivering food to the tables.
