We have our wardrobes decided. Now on to dinner plans. We decided this year that we want to mix things up a little bit to ensure the kids really enjoy the meal, can help prepare it and also actually eat the food. So we will have a finger food Thanksgiving feast! Our morning will start with our usual family tradition- baking a turkey with the tried ad true recipe from the Food Network’s Good Eats.
We have used this turkey recipe for 6 years now and I see no reason to change it. Check out the photos link for a great video series on how to Brine a Turkey and bake it perfectly.
Instead of the usual turkey with a multitude of casseroles and dressing, we will cut the turkey early and prepare turkey sandwiches that will pair with sweet potato fries, mac and cheese bites, broccoli cups, a cheese board and berries display!
What do you have planned for your Thanksgiving feast?
