The 6th annual National Learn to Swim Day recently took place on May 20, 2017. This day was founded by SwimWays with the goal of bringing attention to the importance of learning to swim for health, safety, and fun. Together we can prevent childhood drowning and bring the joys of swimming to kids everywhere.  A few weeks before I received some great swimming products that have made a big impact on my kids swimming confidence, so I want to share them with you.

SwimWays Swim Step 2 products have helped my daughter feel more confident in the water and even improved her beginner swimming skills! You can find their products at Toys R Us or online.

I started incorporating the SwimWays Swim Sweater into Kara’s swimming routine at the pool and beach about a month ago. The stable, circular torso design rides her chest creating extra stability than any other floating assistance she has tried. The sweater vest helps her learn her balance and sets up her proper positioning while giving her the feeling of safety. In addition to the sweater providing two early swimming position (upward and front stroke) it adds an extra layer of sun protection with it being 50+ UPF.

She now wears this in the pool and the ocean. And runs into both with excitement and confidence. I can’t wait to transition her to step three to see how much she has learned.

The Swimways Swim Sweater is not the only great swimming product. SwimWays is a three step swim training program for young kids that guides your child towards a life-long love of the water from their very first splashes through swimming.  Check out their website for all the swim safety products for different phases of learning to swim.
