Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina offers two dining experiences when visiting the beaches of Alabama. Fisher’s Upstairs offers upscale dining experience without pretense with both indoor and outdoor seating and two bars. Chef Bill Briand’s seasonally inspired menu combines local ingredients with his Louisiana heritage.
Fisher’s Dockside offers a fun and casual family friendly environment with a menu of original recipes that everyone will enjoy.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Fisher’s at Orange beach Marina in the Upstairs restaurant and want to share some of the must try dishes.
Drink this:
I am a sucker for trying the house specialty cocktails. I like to pick one that is fitting for the destination or restaurant atmosphere. So for Fisher’s at Orange beach Marina I chose from their house cocktail Spring menu
THROUGH THE PORTHOLE – a light and refreshing drink that contained a mix of St. Germain, Cathead vodka, pear syrup, lemon and sparkling wine.
The House Cocktail list contains a number of other interesting drinks like the Yacht Rocker and Marina Mule. Plus their wine list is fabulous and extensive. You will have no problem finding the perfect beverage to compliment your meal!
Start with these:
SHRIMP TOAST – Served on avocado puree this unique toast appetizer is stuffed with shrimp then topped with lump crab, cherry tomatoes, grilled red onions, and green peas.
OYSTERS EARLE- Roasted Bon Secour oysters with garlic leek butter! These were some of the best oysters I had while visiting the beaches of Alabama.
Main attractions:
FRESH GULF FISH OF THE DAY -I chose the fresh fish special on this evening. Unfortunately all I remember about it that it was Mahi and it was delicious! I am so happy I added a side of their crispy Brussel sprouts because they were amazing!
Additional menu items that our table enjoyed included the Rabbit Pasta, Seared Jumbo Scallops, and Lamb Shoulder Roast. Everything looked perfectly prepared and had spectacular reviews from the other diners.
Finish with something sweet:
CREME BRULEE– I love creme brulee but I am picky with my desserts because I want them to be worth the added calories I add to my overly stuffed stomach at the end of a meal. This creme brulee was perfect from the inside out!
Our table ordered everything on the dessert menu. A table favorite was the Steen’s Cane Syrup Caramel Popcorn Dome which is an interesting combination of caramel popcorn and brown butter ice cream.
Reservations Recommended
Fisher’s is an award winning restaurant. In 2016, Chef Bill Briand was awarded the James Beard Foundation Awards. I highly recommend you make reservations, especially during peak seasons to ensure you have the best possible experience without a long wait!
