Hi, I’m Mandy Carter — a mom of two, Florida lifestyle blogger, marketing professional, teacher, coach, and the creator behind Acupful and ItsMandyMichelle.
Acupful started as a place to document family life, travel, recipes, parties, home projects, and all the little things that made life feel full. Over time, it has grown into something deeper.
Today, Acupful is my home base for simple wellness, family memories, intentional living, healthy routines, travel, motherhood, and the everyday choices that help create a life by design.
Not a perfect life.
Not an overly curated life.
A real one.
One built with more peace, more purpose, more health, more joy, and more room for what actually matters.
MY BACKGROUND
I’m originally from Tennessee, which means I will always have a little Southern girl in me, but South Florida has become home.
I graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Journalism, and I have spent most of my adult life working in marketing, events, writing, community building, and brand storytelling.
That background is a big part of why blogging has always felt natural to me. I love documenting life. I love creating helpful content. I love finding the story inside ordinary moments.
Before Acupful, I started my first blog in 2013 while I was pregnant with my daughter. In 2015, that blog became Acupful — a name built around the idea of keeping your cup full and choosing to see life through a more hopeful lens.
And honestly, that message has carried me through a lot.
Why Acupful Matters to Me
Acupful has grown right alongside me.
It has been with me through motherhood, career changes, divorce, rebuilding, creating a new home, raising kids, starting over financially, finding my health again, and learning how to build a life that feels aligned with who I really am.
For a long time, I was just trying to survive.
Then I started rebuilding.
Then I started realizing that I did not want to just get through life. I wanted to create one that felt peaceful, meaningful, healthy, and full of memories.
That is where my Life By Design mindset comes from.
It is not about having everything figured out.
It is about asking:
What kind of life do I actually want to create?
What kind of mother do I want to be?
What kind of home do I want my kids to remember?
What routines help me feel my best?
What memories do I want to make while my kids are still home?
What am I no longer willing to carry?
Those questions changed everything for me.
Life After Starting Over
In 2017, I walked away from a 10 year marriage (15 year total relationship) and started over with very little.
I had debt. I had damaged credit. I had two kids depending on me. I had no easy backup plan. I had to rebuild from the ground up.
That season taught me discipline, resilience, faith, creativity, and the power of taking one step at a time.
I worked multiple jobs. I built multiple income streams. I learned how to budget, repair my credit, save money, grow professionally, and create stability for my kids.
Eventually, all of those small steps became something bigger.
I was able to build a home for my children and me in Babcock Ranch, Florida — a place that felt like the fresh start I had worked so hard for.
But the biggest transformation was not just the house. It was the woman I became while building it.

A Little More About Me
I’m a mom first, always.
My kids are older now, which has made me realize how important it is to be present for this season. The years go fast, and I want to make the most of the time we still have before life changes again.
I love family travel, morning routines, fitness, simple meals, cozy home moments, holiday traditions, good books, long walks, Florida sunshine, and finding ways to make ordinary days feel meaningful.
I also believe women are allowed to evolve.
You are allowed to outgrow old versions of yourself.
You are allowed to want more peace.
You are allowed to rebuild.
You are allowed to create new routines.
You are allowed to become healthier, happier, stronger, and more intentional.
You are allowed to design a life that actually feels like yours.
That is what I hope this space reminds you of.
Are you a brand? Let’s collaborate!

I love partnering with brands that align with my actual life and values — especially brands connected to family travel, healthy living, fitness, home, simple routines, wellness, motherhood, and products or experiences that make everyday life better.
I only share products, places, and experiences that feel authentic to my lifestyle and helpful to my audience.
Through Acupful and ItsMandyMichelle, I bring together real-life storytelling, blog content, social media visibility, Pinterest-friendly posts, brand strategy, and a trusted connection with women who are also trying to build lives that feel healthier, fuller, and more intentional.
