A hearty protein shake that’s loaded with essential amino acids. This shake is a great replacement for any meal! I love milkshakes but since I try to eat healthy, I typically avoid them unless it is part of a dining experience. At home, I like to create protein shakes that taste just as good as a milkshake but with more healthy content. Two new items I have found work together to create an ah-mazing protein shake.
Protein + Healthy Carbs = delicious shake
The Go!Pro-Shake from Skinny Jane is a low sugar, vitamin packed protein powder that our whole family loves- even the kids! Unlike many protein powders, Go! Pro-Shakes were designed with kids in mind. The chocolate is my son’s favorite and he loves it for an on the go breakfast. I love the fact that this protein powder has no caffeine, no high fructose corn syrup, and no aspartame. When combined with a few additional nutrient sources like nut butter and oats, it is the perfect meal replacement for an adult too! So when I discovered Artisana Organics Raw Almond Butter, I had to mix up a new shake. It turned out delicious.
Another thing I love about this is that it is easy to take it with you. BOtheprotein powder and almond butter come in individual servings, so you can take it with you to go. Which is one of the most important things to do when traveling…plan your food!
