The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

We had Universal Orlando passes for a year. So we have dined at a number of City Walk and Universal restaurants. Cowfish is by far our favorite. We have eaten here a lot of times, both with and without our little ones. Each time is as good as the last. The kids enjoy the atmosphere, technology entertainment and even eat ALL their food. We highly recommend adding this to you must dine list when vacationing in Orlando. It is the perfect Orlando restaurant for parents wanting a nice dining experience with their kids

The CowFish Location:  

A convenient spot in the middle of CityWalk at Universal.  Yes, you will have to pay for parking (unless you have Universal season pass) at City Walk and take that long walk (unless you valet). If you are a guest at one of the Universal onsite hotels then you can use their transportation to get to City Walk, depending on wich hotel you are at you could get there by bus, boat or even walk. The atmosphere is very hip but casual.  The place is huge! Several levels of dining both inside and out. There are two bars and a sushi bar. There is a great area to wait for your table overlooking City Walk with games for the kids.

We love family-friendly restaurants

My family of 4 loved this place!  This is a great family restaurant because it has TVs in the tables that entertain the kids with games and digital art.  My son is 5 and each time we went he sat at the sushi bar and created fish that he could put in the digital aquarium so he could see it swim around the entire time we ate.  And the true family test is did they eat?  YEP my son loved his “bento box” of mac&cheese, carrots and fruit.  It included a rice crispy “sushi” for dessert. My daughter is only 1 1/2 so she is hard to please but she enjoyed the bento PBJ fruit and origami menu.

The Food:  Like the name implies it is a mix of sushi and burgers.  We have tried many menu items, but we are always in the mood for burgers because their burgers are so good!

So if you are considering a place in the Universal area for lunch or dinner and you feel like burgers or sushi- give this one a shot.  Alternative places I recommend are The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel, The Hard Rock Cafe and Emeril’s.
