I love trying new restaurants. And I love when I find one that makes me want to go back again and again. If you are looking for some must-try restaurants in Fort Lauderdale then you will enjoy this list. All eight of these restaurants are unique and differ from the others; but each one is worth a visit!
1.Riverside Market
608 SW 12th Ave | Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312
The laid back and fun vibe of this neighborhood restaurant is what first gained my attention. It is hard not to feel at home with the comfy sofas, long high top communal tables, a selection of board games and cooler lined walls. You help yourself to the beverage of your liking, keeping the empties for checkout. The Honor System seems to work wonderfully here. But the food sealed the deal for making my favorites list. I have dined her for breakfast lunch and dinner, trying a variety of food from the simple yet varied menu. Whether I had a breakfast sandwhich, their turkey rueben or pizza- it is all tasty.
2.Shooters Waterfront
3033 NE 32nd Ave | Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
A beautiful restaurant located on the Intercoastal. It is fun to watch the big yachts come in. The views and the food are good. It is a super busy spot on the weekends, so I recommend you make reservations several days in advance. There are a variety of seating options, inside and out. They offer everything from sandwiches, salads, pasta to seafood. Sunday brunch is awesome here because they have live music with unlimited mimosas and bloody mary’s.
3.Louie Bossi’s Restorante
1032 E Las Olas Blvd |Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Louie Bossi’s is currently favorite restauraunt on Las Olas not only for food but for a great atmosphere to enjoy an afternoon cocktail for happy hour. I love the backyard garden-so beautiful, chic and romantic. If you can snag a spot out there then your dining experience will be taken up a notch. THe complimentary bread starts the meal off perfectly. The pasta is great but the pizza is superb, I highly suggest the Funghi Misti which has delicious truffle oil and cheese along with the mushrooms.
4.O-B House
333 Himmarshee St | Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312
An expensive but favorite breakfast spot of mine; the restaurant is cute, with a quaint atmosphere and the food is very delicious. I am a fan of their biscuits and gravy-the portion size is large, definitely shareable for 2-3 people. From fresh squeezed orange juice, bold coffee, There is no tipping because it is built into the food cost. The location is great as there is so much to do in this area, including a walk along the water, making it a perfect date spot.
5.Greek Islands Taverna
3300 N Ocean Blvd | Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
Authentic Greek cuisine with friendly service. Despite that the atmosphere is noisy and tables are small and crowded, the place still manages to be charming. Their house-made hummus is fantastic. Order a variety of shareable items like the grape leaves, spanakopita, calamari, and dips for the table. After your meal, try the baklava cheesecake! If you come early you will have no issues with parking.
6.Grille 401
401 E Las Olas Blvd | Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale has a number of fantastic restaurants to choose from, Grille 401 being one of them. This upscale restaurant offers a variety of filling dishes, my favorite is the cedar plank salmon with kale salad. They offer a really popular happy hour at the bar: Monday – Friday from 4pm to 7 pm it is BOGO cocktails and half off all appetizers!
7.Park and Ocean
3109 E Sunrise Blvd |Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
Location, location, location! This casual (beach wear with sandy toes fully appropriate), low key restaurant/bar provides a cool dining concept with a natural outdoor atmosphere, uniquely located inside Birch State Park and across from the ocean. The drink and food menu options are great for this type of casual restaurant, but even better is that the food is yummy, especially the tacos! After you fill up on food and drink you can take a nice walk through the park or head through the tunnel to walk along Fort Lauderdale beach.
8.Rhythm & Vine
401 NE 5th Ter |Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
It is more of a bar that turns into a nightclub latenight BUT during the day and early evenings they have food trucks that rotate making for a cool vibe to have a casual meal in a beautiful outdoor setting. And it is cool to order some deliciously crafted cocktails from the Airstream bar. Outdoor games like checkers and giant jenga are scatterred throughout the yard for some fun to go with your food, beverage and conversation!
There are so many great places to dine in Fort Lauderdale and this list barely touches the service of all this city has to offer for your taste buds. Let me know in the comments what Fort lauderdale restaurants you reccomend I try!
Riverside Market is the best! I take the crew here often for Friday lunch when we’re not on a project. The coolers make it easy to grab a 6-pack for the house later.
