My son has always loved Tiger. Today I am sharing how I hosted a cute Winnie the Pooh Party at Walt Disney World for our son when he turned two.
We were Walt Disney World pass holders at the time, so we were able to get a good rate on a cabin at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort for the weekend. The cabin was the perfect location for a Winnie the Pooh party because of its location in the woods. If you have never stayed at this unique resort then you must add it to your Disney To-Do list. The cabins sleep 6 people comfortably, have a full kitchen, and still provide all the amenities expected at a luxury Disney Resort.
Winnie the Pooh & Tigger TWO Birthday Party
For my sons second birthday, we spent the weekend at Disney; so this party was just a piece of a fun celebration that ended the next day with a Winnie the Pooh character breakfast at the Magic Kingdom!
PANCAKE BIRTHDAY CAKE
The birthday boy loves breakfast food, especially pancakes. So I made some fresh funfetti pancakes and topped it with cream cheese icing and sprinkles as his “birthday cake.” Not only was the layered pancake birthday cake cute for photos, it was a hit with all the toddlers.
BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST PARTY FOOD
Since my son loved breakfast food, we planned the party for 10am. Plus like most two-year-olds, his happiest time of the day was mid-morning. Having a birthday party early in the morning allows for a variety of food options. We needed quick preparation but had the ability to serve hot food since we were guests at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins.
The Winnie the Pooh Birthday party food table was filled with yummy finger-food breakfast items. Turkey sausage links, mini quiche, small pastries, cereal bars and cinnamon pancake flavored cupcakes. For beverages, I served orange juice, chocolate milk and whole milk.Since the party was held at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, the resort provided the real backdrop of “hundred acres woods” from Winnie the Pooh.
The toddlers played in the yard, attempted to break the handmade pinata and all participated in the gift opening. It was a wonderful theme that turned out really cute at the cabin. It since it was mid-morning the Florida heat wasn’t too bad.
