We recently stayed here for a quick summer escape, and it checked all the boxes: water fun, family-friendly amenities, and great value.

H2O Water Park Is Right Next Door — And Included!
The biggest win for families? Access to the Island H2O Water Park is included in your hotel stay if you book that package (which was only $10 more than standard rate on the weekend we went). This water park is packed with slides, a lazy river, splash zones, and plenty of space to relax while the kids burn energy. And it is so close to the hotel. The parking was $20, which I wish I would have just made the kids walk but it would have been a hike after a day in the sun! The ease of having the water park right next door took the stress out of planning our days. We didn’t have to rush or pack a full “day bag.”
Full Embassy Suites Perks = Major Value
If you’ve stayed at an Embassy Suites before, you already know: their complimentary breakfast is top-tier for families. We’re not talking muffins and bananas — think hot breakfast with made-to-order omelets, bacon, potatoes, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, fruit, assorted breads & muffins, sodas, milk or juice, and plenty of coffee for tired parents.
And every evening, they offer a complimentary Happy Hour Reception. Yes, that means drinks (including wine, beer, and cocktails) and snacks are free for guests. My kids loved the variety of mocktails they offerred – especially the Mango Shirley Temples! It’s a great way to wind down after a long day of swimming or exploring without having to budget for one more meal or stop.
Spacious Suites That Actually Work for Families
One of the things I loved most about this stay was how much space we had. The suites are designed with families in mind.

✔️ Large balcony for some fresh air and extra room to spread out

It’s rare to find hotel rooms this well-equipped without paying for a full condo or resort suite. Having this much space made a quick weekend away feel like home. The kids didn’t want to leave because they said it feels like a home.
Access to Margaritaville Resort Perks
Staying at Embassy Suites Sunset Park gives you access to Margaritaville Resort amenities, so you get the best of both worlds. While we didn’t spend much time at Margaritaville this visit, we walked around the property (which is beautiful) knowing we had access to their beautiful resort grounds, restaurants, and pools is a huge bonus for longer stays.
Close to More Family Fun
If your crew likes a little variety (or if you’re staying longer than a weekend), there are other fun spots nearby. Just a short drive or even walk away:
Escapology (escape rooms) – we did the Haunted Mansion one- Escaped with 6 minutes to spare!
Game Time (arcade and family entertainment center)
Plus, endless shopping and dining options at Sunset Walk.
We took advantage of these during our stay to break up our water park time and give the kids a little variety.

What I loved most: This staycation didn’t require over-planning or over-packing. Everything we needed was right there; food, entertainment, relaxation, and plenty of options to keep both kids and adults happy.
