Using the Pampered Chef Air Fryer to Cook Bacon Fast and Simple
Who loves bacon? Me and my kids, that is who! Did you know that air fryer bacon was a thing?
Well, it is and it is a very good thing! When I bought the Pampered Chef Deluxe Air Fryer I had no clue that bacon would be my most cooked food in it. It is crisp, obsessively easy to make, and the delicious smell lingers! It is hands-down the simplest and yummiest bacon I’ve ever cooked. Making bacon in the air fryer works the same as cooking bacon in the oven but quicker and doesn’t heat up your kitchen. Once you try this method of cooking bacon, you will probably never do it any other way.
Just 15 minutes and it is perfect ( I like mine crispy so 10 would be fine if you don’t) no oven and almost no mess.
What makes using this method easier? Well, It is mostly hands-off, clean-up takes minutes and doesn’t leave a massive mess of splatters, plus the grease effortlessly falls off into the lower reservoir, especially when you use the Mess Catcher.
When you are looking to cook faster, healthier versions of traditionally deep-fried foods, this Pampered Chef appliance is what you need. And if you are a huge bacon eater, in my opinion cooking bacon alone would justify this air fryer purchase – it’s that good!
How to prevent your air fryer from smoking when cooking bacon
I have read that some people have experienced smoke issues when cooking bacon in this type of fryer due to the amount of grease, so I wanted to share a few tips that will help prevent this issue:
- Perhaps the easiest solution is to put some old bread on the mess tray of the Pampered Chef Air Fryer or in the lower pan of other styles to soak up the grease
- If you have the pan models, you can add a little water to the lower pan.
- If you have a basket model, use parchment paper to line your fryer basket. There are a few types of parchment paper designed for air fryers.
