Month 13 of Building a Home with Pulte at Babcock Ranch – Insulation and Drywall Installed & Inspected
It’s now been over a year since I started my home-building journey with Pulte and what was going at A.VERY.SLOW.PACE juust took a major acceleration in speed this month! It started with a pre-drywall inspection with my construction field manager from Pulte who walked me through the entire house pointing out all the details of the building process up to this point. Explaining the plumbing, electrical, internal pest control wiring, the warranty, and so on.
I must say the main thing he said that stood out to me and made me smile was that the upgraded outlets I put under the gutters for my Christmas lights can be turned on and off with a switch inside by the front door. WHAT! Holy Heck that is a fabulous luxury I didn’t know I wanted until he said it is all set up!!
After that walk-through, the insulation was almost installed immediately and a few days later it was inspected and then the drywall was up and plastered within a few more days! So that was some major work completed very fast considering how long it has taken me to get to this point.
So I have a 30-day window of possibility for my closing now. They predict but can’t commit 100% that sometime between May 27 and June 27 I will be closing on my home! Sucks to not have an exact date because with mortgage rates shooting up right now it would like to get a rate locked but I am just too far out to make that call today.
But looking forward to the next 60 days because we will start seeing all my design components show up 🙂
