Building Our Dream Home: Month 8 – Site Prepared & Front Entrance Beautified

It’s month eight since I began this dream home-building journey at Babcock Ranch and there is finally some progress on the homesite! The home site has been prepped for the foundation! So a lot actually took place this month.

The lot was cleared and leveled. The house was staked out then wooden forms were placed as the template for the foundation and footings were installed.

Now we wait for the slab to be poured!

Edgewater Shores Get the Front Signage

The Edgewater Shores neighborhood of Babcock Ranch is official because we now have signage surrounded by beautiful foliage. Eventually we will have a gated entrance, private pool and pier with a dock!

Babcock Ranch Bandstand + Food Truck Friday

After checking out the progress of our Edgewater Shores homesite, we went to our first Babcock Bandstand event that takes place every Friday night night at with the food trucks! This event is one example of the community aspect that appealed to me and ultimately led to the decision to make Babcock Ranch my home.

Every Friday a handful of local SWFL food trucks gather at Founder’s Square at Babcock Ranch and local musicians entertain the residents under the waterfront bandstand. Music, local food, drinks, and nature- all in our backyard – what a dream life it is!
