Month 16 of Building a Home with Pulte at Babcock Ranch – Finally we get the keys!!
The home has practically been ready since the middle of May but due to the AC shortage issue, closing got postponed for 45 days. But like most good things, they come with time and patience the day arrived- June 28th. This will forever be remembered as the day all my hard work, tears, sleepless nights and dedication truly paid off. Having the keys handed to me was one of the best feelings in the world… right after having my babies handed to me moments after the pain of delivering them! I was the 3rd home to close in the Edgewater Shores Community within Babcock Ranch. We will eventually be a gated community of only 101 homes, so I look forward to really getting to know my immediate neighbors along with the additional 20,000 that will eventually move into our master plan community.
It is beautiful and everything I wanted it to be. I am so grateful for Babcock Ranch just for purely existing because it is a slice of heaven right here in the middle of nowhere Southwest Florida, my Pulte construction manager, Fabio, and my mortgage loan officer Susan Eagan who is also a Babcock resident (I highly recommend her).
Were there a few closing day hiccups? Yes. But lets focus on the positive. We are in and we love it!
And we decided to let the memories begin with nothing but a mattress, one lamp, a tv on a box and some snack food for a party night on day one in our home. It was a long time coming and we had a lot to celebrate!
