A hole-in-the-wall location with an extraordinary and uniquely chill atmosphere combined with well thought-out cocktails grabbed my attention and easily made it’s way to the top of my favorite bars in Fort Lauderdale list. There are two very differently themed spots in this bar: the outdoor beer garden and the inside artsy club-like space. This quaint and quarky bar is a little oasis tucked away in the Flagler Village neighborhood, not too far from Las Olas Blvd. Parking can be tricky if you arrive late in the evening, but valet is available if you can’t find anything on your own. I started my evening of at Ryhthm and Vine with several drinks outside enjoying the beautiful Florida weather and people watching. I moved inside at dark to enjoy the DJ vibe, AC and to dance.
TIP: Get there early to stake your claim at a seat because this place gets filled to all corners late-night!
Rhythm and Vine Beer Garden
The “beer garden” at Ryhthm and Vine transports you out of the expected bar scene and into something casual and comfortable – like a friend’s backyard. I personally thought it was really cool, not to mention unique, to order my cocktails from a retro trailer. In addition to the Airstream bar and ample outdoor seating, there is a large jenga game, checkers on the picnic table, and a food truck for those wanting some snacks.
A Noteworthy Cocktail List at Rythm and Vine
Beer is not my area of expertise, but crafty ocktails now that is something I can elaborate on. I had the opportunity to meet the girl aka master mixologist behind this fantastic specialty cocktail menu. Avery is her name and making the perfectly flavored beverage is most certainly her game. Though all perfectly paired, I loved Chapos Tunnel. THis tequila based drink had a mix of swet serrano hibiscus, orange flower water, passion fruit and lime juice.
Inside Rhythm and Vine
Whether you decide to stay outside or go back and forth is up to you; but at some point you will wander in to find the bathrooms. The inside area of Rhythm and Vine is referred to as the “den.” From the funky furniture, the cool artwork, and the massive bar you will easily be able to make yourself at home. It’s air conditioned well, so perfect for escaping the Florida heat of the beer garden. At night the DJ livens up the place with some great music. I literally danced the night away once inside-which was completely unexpected at first sight of this cozy place.
Don’t forget the brunch, food trucks and yoga!?
There are some special things that take place at different times at Rhythm and Vine. Though I was not here for these, I want to mention them as I definitely plan to try them out the next time I am visiting Fort Lauderdale!
