The Story Book Box delivers new books monthly to the kids creating an exciting trip to the mailbox

March 7, 2017

What child (or parent) wouldn’t want to get a box of books in the mail each month? The Story Box sends out two books that have been curated by a speech-language pathologist. The monthly options range from $14.99 – $19.99 per month.

Subscription Box for kids that is fun and educational

If your family is anything like mine, you love to get fun mail.  My kids are at the age that they love being read to. So when the Story Box arrived they were so happy to each have a new book to add to their book shelves. We received the Family Package which included two books: Fluff and Billy and Spy Guy.

Fluff and Billy by Nicola Killen is a cute board book about precious penguins friends who learn how to resolve conflict when it pops up in their friendship. The kids could relate to the fight. My son enjoyed being able to read it to his sister as it is an easy read for beginner readers.

Spy Guy by Jessica Young which is beautifully illustrated by Charles Santoso is a fun story about a little boy trying to be a sneaky spy yet is not doing a great job at it in the beginning. The message teaches kids that anything is possible when you are determined to succeed.

The Story Box delivers the gift of reading each month

It is fun and educational all in one little package. Each box includes two hardcover books that will be fun and provide a great lesson.

The Story Box offers three packages that are geared to age groups:

Board Books Package: for ages 0 to 2 1/2 years
This subscription box includes two sturdy, board books per month.

Picture Books Package: for ages 2 1/2 to 6
This box subscription includes two hardcover, picture books per month.

Family Book Package: combo package for families with children in both age groups.
This box is a combo, it includes one board book and one hardcover, picture book each month.

Each package includes a parent guide full of tips and example activities that will help you use the new books to grow your child’s pre-literacy skills.  The tips are simple to implement. For example, with Spy Guy the parent guide activity suggested we play a game trying to sneak around while making sounds like coughing, stomping, clicking, etc. The kids had a blast with this and giggled forever.

The Story Box subscribers help support a good cause

And if you are still not convinced to try out this subscription box, there’s another great thing to know about The Story Box.  They donate books and other educational materials to benefit children with disabilities and children from low-income families.  Each subscriber helps us contribute to this cause.
