Shore Diner: A Sarasota Restaurant You WIll Not Want To Miss

April 21, 2023

I love taking a weekend getaway to Longboat Key and prefer staying at the Zota Beach Resort, read my  hotel review here.

On a recent stay, I had the please of dining at Shore, located on St. Armands Circle in Sarasota, Florida. I highly recommend adding it to your dining wish list when in Sarasota. And after dinner make sure you must take a stroll around St. Armands Circle popping into the store and enjoying the local talent performing all around.  I echo what a recent Tripadvisor reiewer stated,

“Really enjoyed our first visit to Shore, after hearing great things about it. The food, the service, and the vibe are all worth it.”

Shore Diner: The Restaurant

The restaurant itself is expansive and modernly beautiful. You enter by taking outside stone stairs (there is an elevator available too) next to the Shore store. You will notice the beautiful green wall as you enter this open air restaurant. It has an inviting sitting area that you will wait in if you arrive at a busy time or in high season with no reservations. There is a large dining room, a patio overlooking the street scent and a large back patio with a retractable roof. The clean decor is a mix of modern, chic, and coastal. The ambiance is hip yet upscale.

Shore Diner: Wine & Signature Handcrafted Cocktails

The bar offers a great selection of wine, craft beer and handcrafted cocktails.  I rarely pass up a good signature cocktail, but I was in the mood for wine this evening. However, the cocktail menu is tempting and I will try out the “Quiet Storm” ( bourbon, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, ginger beer and a lemon wheel) next time I am in town!

Shore Diner: Creative Menu

From a Kale Caesar salad to fish, chicken or even meatloaf, you are sure to find a creative version of one of your favorite things to eat. I had the Almond Crusted Black Grouper ($MKT) Blue Crab Risotto/ Chargrilled Asparagus/ Pink Guava Vin Blanc.   If you love grouper, you will love this! Not only was it a stunning presentation it was pleasing to my palette.
