Key West in the the Florida Keys may be known for its vibrant nightlife and laid-back atmosphere, but this sunny destination is also a fantastic vacation spot for families seeking sun-soaked adventures with their little ones. In this blog post, I am sharing a variety of family-friendly activities, from exploring a historic fort and embarking on a city ghost tour to enjoying the calm waters through kayaking and relaxing at the secluded state park beach.

Where to stay in Key West with Kids

First things first, the hotel. There are a lot of places to choose from when seeking hotel accommodations in Key West. However, if you want to be near the area but not right in the middle of the chaotic nightlife scene with your family then I highly recommend Ocean’s Edge Resort located on Stock Island.

Must Visit Places in Key West with Kids

It’s a little pricey in my opinion, but very beautiful, hidden escape from the busy streets of Key West.

From interactive touch tanks featuring conch shells and starfish to daily shark and turtle feedings, the Key West Aquarium offers an engaging and educational experience for children of all ages.

Fort Zachary Taylor State Park: History and Beach Bliss
Kick off your family vacation with a visit to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. Kids will love exploring the historic Civil War-era fort, complete with moats and cannons.
