I had the opportunity to dine at Elisabetta’s on our recent trip to Delray Beach. This beautiful restaurant serves up Classic Italian food by Chef Lisabet Summa and Big Time Restaurant Group. It is located in the heart of Delray Beach right on Atlantic Avenue across from Old School Square. The knowledgeable staff demonstrates a high level of knowledge and service. Our waiter, Corey did a fantastic job being attentive to the table needs and helping us decide on our meals. All in all, it was a great dining experience and I highly recommend you add it to your list of restaurants to try in Delray Beach, Fl.
Elisabetta’s-Standout Menu Items
The menu is not overwhelming but definitely has a lot of options to choose from: several options of each antipasto, salads, meats, pizzas and pastas. Right after we ordered our drinks, Corey brought us fresh warm bread and dipping oil. The kids ate it immediately. I thought the wine list was robust and had a great selection. However, I enjoy a nice handcrafted specialty cocktail when I am dining out so I tried a few 😉
If you know me, you know I am a sucker for a specialty margarita and if it is spicy then it’s 99.9% certain I will try it…so I ordered the Hibiscus Spiced Margarita and YUM! It did not disappoint. Since I was on vacation I skipped my rule of sticking to the same liquor and ordered the Strawberry Basil Martini because I love those and it also did not disappoint me.
We decided to start our meal with the carpaccio: herb crusted thin raw beef covered in arugula, parmigiano reggiano, onions, capers, and some delicious mini peppers that i have never had before. The plate was grand in size and flavor. We loved it.
For our main entrees, our table choices included:
‣Kids pepperoni pizza (which was very large- but she ate it all),
‣Angel hair spaghetti burrata mozzarella, san marzano sauce and fresh basil
‣Some short noodle (forgot which one) in a mascarpone sauce
‣Funghi misti pizza-wild mushroom, smoked buffalo mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, and truffle oil
‣Rigatonni- alla bolognese, braised beef and vealin barolo wine
Everything was delicious, but I have to say that my favorite of the dishes was the rigatoni. I feel like the serving sizes are good and priced perfectly.
I typically pass on desserts. But the kids love sorbet, so we couldn’t resist trying their special passion fruit sorbet! It was the perfect ending to a spectacular meal!
